For boats
Boats en route to or from the Red Sea have been able to make short stops here with minimum formalities. Maximum stay is 3 days without a visa.
You will anchor inside the big harbour (there is no possibility to moor to any quay).
Contact the authorities on Channel 16 before landing, they will advise where to anchor. The holding is good in 7m over mud.
Beware. The dinghy landing area is where the sewage outfall emerges! You can use agents boat also.
Fuel and provisions are available.
Customs and immigration offices are in the commercial harbour near the jetty (called on maps as New harbour).
Agent will arrange shore passes from Immigration office, fuel, water, shopping. He is very helpful..
If asked to provide a clearance certificate from your previous port, make sure you get a replacement when you leave.

He will come to you. Speaks very good English, nice young man. Fees $25 US for two people. Agent fees negotiable. You can use the internet and take a shower in his office. He will help You in shopping (with his car).
